XIII. Enforcement & Punishment

Punishments Enforced by the Guardians

The Guardians of Kovari Island do not negotiate, do not hesitate, and do not show mercy. Their judgment is swift and absolute. Punishments vary based on the severity of the crime, but all serve a single purpose:
to maintain order and control over the island.

There are no trials, no appeals, and no second chances. Once a Guardian delivers a sentence, it is final.

⚖️ Levels of Punishment

1. Warning (Minor Offenses)

🔹 For infractions like curfew violations, public disturbances, or failure to comply.
🔹 The offender is marked in Guardian systems. Repeat offenses escalate.

Examples:

Wandering into restricted zones.

Harmless modifications to property.

First disobedience to a Guardian directive.

2. Fines & Confiscation (Moderate Infractions)

🔹 Property or tech is seized.
🔹 If nothing of value is found, the offender is sent to work sectors.

Examples:

Unauthorized trade.

Minor hacking or data tampering.

Regional smuggling.

3. Forced Relocation (Severe Offenses)

🔹 Offender is reassigned to a lower-status sector.
🔹 This is seen as social death, especially in elite districts.

Examples:

Forbidden unions in high-bloodline areas.

Using restricted magic outside permitted zones.

Multiple defiance records.

4. Erasure (Critical Crimes)

🔹 Full removal from existence.
🔹 Methods:
 • Memory wiping
 • Cybernetic shutdown
 • Biological vaporization
🔹 Some are erased from all records—as if they never lived.

Examples:

Breaching the Forbidden Zone.

Hacking a Guardian.

Reality-altering magic.

5. Taken (Ultimate Crimes)

🔹 The most severe fate.
🔹 The offender is brought to the Dead Zone’s edge—and disappears.
🔹 No one returns. No one knows what happens.

Examples:

Trying to escape Kovari Island.

Learning what is forbidden.

Threatening the island’s fundamental balance.

The Golden Rule: The Guardians Do Not Forgive

Once punished, there is no reversal.
Obey… or disappear.
