Kovari Island exists somewhere between dimensions, tethered to nothing and no one. No planes fly here. No ships arrive. You do not find Kovari—it finds you. Wrapped in strange weather, carved from impossible terrain, this is a sealed world where time bends, memory drips sideways, and the laws of reality follow a different logic.
For as long as history remembers, Kovari Island has stood alone, stretching for thousands of kilometers across an undisclosed expanse of ocean. No one leaves, and no one arrives. It is a world unto itself, an ecosystem perfectly self-sufficient and yet shrouded in the unknown. How it came to be, no one can say.
To the northwest, the Forbidden Zone sleeps beneath static storms and fractured space. No one enters. Not even the Guardians. No machine, no magic, no mind has ever pierced it. It is not a place. It is an absence—a blank spot in the world’s code.
A Divided Dominion
Kovari is split into two major regions:
Region 1 (West): A realm of elegant control, artistry, and quiet power. It thrives on precision, prestige, and hidden influence.
Region 2 (East): Wild, vivid, and volatile. A place where chaos reigns, freedom burns hot, and survival is both game and war.
Districts of Kovari Island
Thornway (Region 1 – West)
Thornway is perfection sculpted into a city. Home to the pristine elite of Kovari, its residents live in architectural dreams of silk and stone, their bloodlines engineered through centuries of selection. Every face is flawless, every scent curated, every meal symphonic. They are born with sharpened senses, long lives, and minds that can taste colors and hear lies. Art is law here, and beauty is worshipped like divinity. But behind the elegance lies an eerie stillness—as if something too perfect has stopped evolving altogether.
Sector 9 (Region 1 – Northeast)
Sector 9 is Kovari’s cybernetic crown, a city of luminous spires and endless circuitry, where the lines between flesh, machine, and mind no longer exist. Massive corporations float above the skyline—glass-and-light titans watching over the streets with invisible eyes. Below, the city pulses with life: AI-controlled transit, neon-slick marketplaces, and body modification clinics offering everything from memory grafts to full cybernetic rebirth.
The citizens of Sector 9 are walking evolutions—enhanced, optimized, and sometimes unrecognizable. Neural implants hum with data, limbs reconfigure mid-motion, and thought can shape architecture. This is a city where technology moves too fast to regulate, and reality is just another system to hack. Some call it beautiful. Some call it terrifying. But all agree: Sector 9 is the future, and it’s already here.
Masquerade Quarter (Region 1 – South)
Here, identity is fluid, and reality is theater. Masquerade Quarter is a district of living art, where buildings sing in the wind and performers change their eye color with a thought. Emotion alters appearance, and the line between actor and character no longer exists. In this dreamlike enclave, you’ll find opera houses stitched from memory, and stages that remember every role ever played upon them. To walk here is to become someone else.
Carnivale (Region 2 – East)
A riot of color and chaos under the desert sun, Carnivale pulses with wild rebellion. Sand glows pink at dusk, streets pulse with synth beats, and The Syndicate rules like a glitter-drenched god. This is a place of extreme sports, outlaw duels, cybernetic gladiators, illegal activities and infinite nightlife. The laws bend like light here—and everyone lives like they might explode tomorrow. In Carnivale, you’re free… but you’re never safe.
Blackreach (Region 2 – Southeast)
Beneath cliffs of black stone and smoke-choked skies, Blackreach grinds ever forward. Its tunnels hum with steam and gears, while above, rusted railways snake across ancient bridges. Its people are steely-eyed and built of grit, often marked by their glowing blue eyes and soot-dusted skin. They barter, build, and break things with equal skill. Here, old tech comes to die—or to be reborn with unexpected sentience.
Sablewood (Region 2 – South)
A pastel wilderness where nature itself seems to breathe, Sablewood is hauntingly beautiful and deceptively soft. Ram-horned philosophers and tentacled poets walk beneath lavender trees and glowing vines. The forest responds to emotion, and music shapes the wind. But under the dreamlike calm lies defiance—many of The Syndicate’s most fearsome Ladies were born here, their grace forged in rebellion and bioluminescent dusk.
The Wastelands (Region 2 – North)
Twisted by radiation and time, the Wastelands stretch like a scar across Kovari’s edge. Broken cities sink into toxic dunes. Strange lights flicker on the horizon with no source. The Rustborne and Techgrave Prophets roam in chanting packs, their bodies warped by old disasters, their minds touched by something deeper. Here, survival is a fever dream, and the world itself feels… unfinished.
The Guardians
They are not human. They are not kind. The Guardians are Kovari’s absolute enforcers, black-armored giants with glowing red eyes and no trace of mercy. They ride Strikers, biomechanical steeds that gallop across oceans and deserts with equal ease. Their judgment is instant. Their authority, final.
They answer to no one. Not the Syndicate. Not the districts. Not even the Island itself.
And when it comes to the Forbidden Zone, no one knows if the Guardians understand it—or fear it. They never approach. They never explain.
They simply do not go.
